HEALTHY SPINACH POTATO/ ALOO-PALAK SABZI

This recipe is really healthy and easy to make. I dont like to cook green leafy vegetables a lot since the nutrient content is lost by over cooking and neither do I like to fill it with a lot of masala..I like the original taste of it more..

Ingredients
Spinach- 1 bunch
Potato- 1 medium cut into small cubes
Garlic- 3 cloves chopped
Ginger- 1/2' chopped
Green Chillies- 2 chopped
Onion- 1 finely chopped (can also use spring onions, i used it for this time)
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Wheat flour- 1 tbsp
Salt
Oil

On the Stove.
Heat oil really well and add ginger and garlic, fry them for 10 secs and add cubed potatoes.

Add salt and turmeric powder and fry till potatoes are 3/4th cooked.

On high flame, Add the spinach, and cook till potatoes are tender, which will take hardly 5 minutes.

Once the spinach starts to leave water, add the wheat flour, sprinkle it evenly in the vessel

Avoid putting the flour all in one part of the vessel.

Simmer for 30 secs and cover the lid.

For the baghaar/dunghaar (optional)
Heat a tsp of oil add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 2cloves if garlic chopped, 2 whole dry red chillies ( small ones also called as button mirchi) and 1 tsp Qasturi methi (dried fenugreek leaves).

Enjoy..!
