Afghani Seekh Kebab

So, this quarantine got me cooking all the different types of cuisine!
Ive been eating Afghani food a lot lately..(thats the most easily available halal place you'd find all over Toronto😁)..so this weekend I thought to give it a try at home..and honestly I'm quiet impressed bu the result..! You guys should definitely give it a try..!

*Afghan Seekh Kebabs*

✔Freshly minced meat 🥩- 2lbs
✔Cumin- 1/2tsp roasted and crushed
✔Fennel Seeds- 1 tsp crushed
✔Corrainder Seeds- 1 tsp roasted and crushed
✔Red chilli powder🌶- 1 tsp
✔Clove -1/4 tsp
✔Cinnamon powder- 1/4 tsp
✔Long Red Sweet pepper- 1 whole chopped.
✔Freshly Grated Ginger-1 tsp heaped
✔Freshly Grated Garlic 🧄- 1 tsp heaped
✔Roasted Chickpeas- for binding 1 -2 Tbsp
✔Parsely/Cilantro- Half a bunch washed and chopped.
✔Lemon Juice 🍋- 1tsp + extra ( No amt of lemon juice can be just enough!)
✔Salt🧂
✔Coal- for the smokey coal flavor.

Lets start mixing ..

So I added everything except coal in my Ninja Kitchen system..and mixed everything up ..
It took around 30 secs on the 'blend setting'
Once done, Let it marinate in the refrigerator. The more the better.. I was to make dinner with it so the marination was for 4-5 hours.. and it was enough.
So i burnt a small piece of charcoal, and placed it over the makeshift bowl i made with alumunium foil that had 1 tsp of oil and kept it right in between the bowl containing the kebab mixture and covered it for 15 minutes.
So then.. take a ball of the mixture in between your fingers, with the other hand's fingers diped in water ..start shaping your kebabs in the oblong shape.. around a metal skewer or a wooden one.

Ideally if you bbq it, it'll taste the best!!
I did it at home so I used my Ninja Foodie 4 in 1 indoor grill ..and the taste was ahh-so-mazing!
I set it up for 450F for 10-15 minutes till tender.
 (5 skewers)

Serve it along with Bukhari Rice. 👌🏻
