How to make Garam Masala/ Ground Spice Mixture





This Masala is the secret spice mixture of most of the Indian Cuisine. And it does wonders!!
The aroma it gives out while its being roasted is simply amazing.

Ingredients-
Coriander seeds- 3 tbsp
Cumin seeds- 3 tbsp
Cardamom- 1 tbsp
Black Peppercorns- 4 tsp
Cloves- 2 tsp
Star anise- 3 whole
Nutmeg- 1 whole
Cinnamon Sticks- 2
Bay leaf- 2
Dried Red Chilli- 1


Roast, toast, and toss all the ingredients in a pan till they become slightly darker and give out a strong aroma..and then turn off the flame.

Take a Coffee blender or food processor where you can grind the dry spices without using water and then Grind!!

Your Aromatic Garam Masala is ready..you can either grind it into a fine powder or into a coarse one. The choice is entirely yours.

Store in an air tight container and use for months!
