Tikka Biryani


Biryani before garnishing.


A variation to the traditional Biryani.

And specially on Fridays, as is the tradition to make one whole meal, and mostly everyone likes to make biryani..so here's one really amazing recipe..

For Chicken Marination
Chicken- 500g (Cut pieces for tikka)
Yoghurt- 3-4 tbsp
White Vinegar- 2 tbsp
Red Chilli Powder- 1 tsp
Ginger-garlic paste- 1 tsp
Chaat Masala- 1 tsp
Salt
Roasted Cumin- 1 tsp
Lemon juice- 2 tbsp
Tandoori Color- a pinch

Marinate Chicken with all these and keep aside.

Now take rice around 1 kg, boil it alongwith cumin, black peppercorn, and Salt and keep aside.

In a vessel,  pour some oil, and fry 2 medium sliced onions till golden brown, remove half the quantity of onions and keep aside, in the remaining onions add 2 medium sized potatoes cut lengthwise like potatoes wedges and fry them, add 3 sliced tomatoes, and 3 green chillies slit.
To this add 1 tbsp whole Garam Masala, 1 &1/2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste,salt, 2 tsp red chilli powder, 2 tsp Dhanya powder, 1/4 tsp haldi, 1/2 kewra, 1 tsp garam masala powder.

Assembly
In the onion-potato mixture
Add Coriander leaves, Mint leaves and Lemon rings.
Add the boiled rice and add yellow/saffron color.
Above all place the prepapred Tikka pieces and keep Biryani on dum(simmer) for 30 minutes.
Lowest layer of biryani consisting of onion-potato mixture, coriander and mint leaves and  lemon rings.
