OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES

Now now.. Who isn't a fan of cookies these days??.. Personally speaking..I love cookies..!!

This one is really easy to make provided you have an electric beater handy, its the most crucial equipment you'll require..

Ok lets begin,

Oats- 1 1/2 cup
Raisins- I used for decor but you.can.include them into the cookies aswell
All pupose flour- 1 cup
Butter- 100g unsalted (must be at room temperature)
Vanilla essence- 1/2 tsp
Egg- 1
Baking powder- 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon powder- 1/2 tsp
Sugar- 1 cup

Before you begin, pre-heat the oven to 175'C or 370'F

In the bowl
Take a big bowl, add butter and sugar, egg and mix well with the electric beater.

Add vanilla essence, cinnamon powder and baking powder. Mix well

Add the all purpose flour. Mix well

Add the oatmeal and mix for just 30 secs and leave the dough to rest for 5minutes. Here you dont need to mix well because you dont want the oats to be crushed completely so you can get crunchy texture. You can add raisins in it if you wish.

Its very important to use unsalted butter, since cookies don't taste that good when slightly salty. Most of the flavour in the cookie comes from the butter, so make sure you get the traditional butter.

Now, if you have a flat baking dish thats great, just grease it with butter or the greasing spray or oil and take a cookie scoop (its a spoon similar to ice cream scooping spoon), and gently place round cookies on the baking tray, keep them far from each other. (as shown in the pic)

And if you don't have a flat baking tray than you can do what I did, place an aluminium foil to the oven rack and then place your cookies.

Place a raisin on each cookie and its ready to be baked..!

Now place it in an electric oven, and bake till base of the cookie is golden and from the top it starts to get a little harder.

Cool for 30 minutes and start hogging.
